MY POPPA SHAWL

Back in November I saw a test call by Audrey of YarnFlakes for a beautiful shawl pattern and I decided to give it a try.

I found the pattern very enjoyable and also very beginner friendly.
Ideal for trying new techniques like one color brioche and mosaic knitting in small sections between mindless garter, your shawl will be finished before you know it.
Audrey provides a helpful video tutorial on mosaic knitting as well. (That helped me a lot since I have never done mosaic or colorwork before.)

I personally love the size and shape of this shawl. Big enough to wrap around your neck but not huge (as much as I like big shawls sometimes I feel that they swallow me).

I dyed the yarn for the shawl myself using acid dyes and as soon as the yarn was dry I knew I had to make it for my sister in law because this are totally her colors but I want to make one for myself too.
You can check my ravelry page and my YouTube channel if you want more details.

See you soon,
Mariliza
